Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Small Heath, Birmingham

Start Date: ASAP

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistants to work across primary and nursery schools in and around the Small Heath area of Birmingham.

You will be responsible for providing support to an EYFS teacher in supporting the learning and development of children aged 3 to 5.

There are many roles available on a long term temporary basis for the right candidates, but you must be hard working, pro-active and flexible with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the EYFS teacher to ensure children are supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
• Assisting in the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, including planning and leading activities.
• Supporting children’s personal, social and emotional development.
• Monitoring and recording children’s progress and behaviour, as well as offering advice and guidance to parents.
• Supporting the implementation of the school’s policies and procedures.
• Helping to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.
• Liaising with other professionals, such as SENCOs, therapists and external agencies.
• Assisting with the transition process from nursery to primary school.
• Working with the EYFS teacher to plan, prepare and assess resources.
• Managing and monitoring
