Job Vacancy: Year 5 SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Sparkhill, Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Salary: £100 – £120 per day

We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Sparkhill. This full-time role involves working one-to-one with a Year 5 pupil who requires additional support with their learning and development.

About the Role:

As a key part of the classroom team, you’ll help create a positive, inclusive environment where the pupil feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. You’ll assist with everyday class activities, adapt learning tasks, and encourage social and emotional growth.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in Key Stage 2
• A minimum of 6 months experience working in a UK primary school
• A calm, patient, and understanding approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A relevant qualification (Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant)
