Literacy Intervention Assistant

Location: Liverpool

Contract Type: Full Time

Start Date: ASAP

Are you passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential and fostering a love for learning? We are seeking a Literacy Intervention Assistant to join our dedicated team, supporting low-attaining pupils within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted literacy interventions to pupils who require additional support in reading, writing, and comprehension.

  • Work collaboratively with class teachers to plan and deliver effective strategies for improving pupil outcomes.

  • Offer tailored one-on-one and small group support to pupils, focusing on their specific areas of need.

  • Create an encouraging and inclusive atmosphere that nurtures self-confidence and a positive approach to learning.

  • Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records to assess the impact of interventions.

What we are looking for:

  • A passion for literacy education and a commitment to supporting pupils who face challenges in this area.

  • Experience working in a primary school or a similar educational setting (desirable but not essential).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.

  • Adaptability and a proactive attitude in a dynamic learning environment.

  • A Level 2 (or higher) Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
