Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work with a welcoming primary school in the South Liverpool area. The successful applicant will have confidence in Maths and English and support the teacher throughout the school day.

Teaching Assistant

  • Location – South Liverpool, L25
  • Start- As soon as possible
  • Position – Teaching Assistant
  • Full time/part time – Full time
  • Hours – 8:30 – 15:30

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide support to to students ensuring their safety and engagement in learning activities.
  • Establish positive relationships with the students and interact according to their individual needs.
  • Encourage the students to interact with peers and participate in classroom activities.
  • Set challenging yet achievable goals to promote self-esteem and independence.
  • Support teachers in planning and delivering learning activities.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • Previous experience of working with Children.
  • Previous experience supporting people with additional needs.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide minimum of two professional references.
