General Teaching Assistant (Primary School) – Brighton

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and supportive Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school community in Brighton.

About the Role:
As a General Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support students in their learning and development. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with classroom management and delivering focused, small-group support
• Helping to prepare resources and materials for lessons
• Providing one-on-one support for students with additional learning needs
• Supporting students with reading, writing, numeracy, and other areas of the curriculum
• Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
• Supervising students during playtimes, lunch breaks, and other activities

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• GCSE’s or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year working with children
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

Eligibility

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
