Direct route into a salaried teacher training role

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking Russell Group Graduates who are interested in working in secondary schools in Wembley.  

THE RUSSELL GROUP GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT JOB:
Prospero Teaching are working with several secondary schools in Wembley seeking teaching assistants to support secondary aged students. The ideal Russell Group graduate teaching assistant will be a clear communicator, someone dedicated, be a good role model and possibly interested in becoming a teacher in the future.   

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • 8am – 4pm, Monday – Friday
  • Term time only

You will also need eligibility to work in the UK and be willing to apply for DBS disclosure.

DUTIES:

The teaching assistant role includes supporting the class teacher and students during lessons, 1:1 session, intervention groups and working with other departments. Students in this mainstream school will have Autism or behaviour needs. The lessons will have delivered to all year groups Key Stage 3, Key stage 4, and the desire to work with Key Stage 5 is preferable but not essential. 

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MY ROLE AS A RUSSELL GROUP TEACHING ASSISTANT?
As a teaching assistant, you will be exposed to students of various abilities, you will need to analyse data and build up your ability to raise attainment using skills, lesson plans, numeracy, and literacy tasks to raise attainment. Again, this will build your knowledge of how students are monitored, data is analysed, and attainment is raised, and students are managed more effectively by teachers. As a Russell Group graduates teaching assistant, you’ll learn and implement strategies to support students engage with the curriculum. 

This role could lead to a salaried teacher training role.
