Teaching and Learning Lead

Role: Teaching and Learning Lead – SEN Primary School in Wallington, Sutton

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a Teaching and Learning Lead at a Specialist Primary School in Wallington supporting children aged 5-12 with ASD, SLD and SEMH

Contract: Fixed term until December 2025
Start date: Immediate
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Needs of students: ASD, SLD, SEMH
Salary: Paid to scale

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality learning with the Head Teacher.
• Design and implement a tailored ASD curriculum.
• Lead, mentor, and support the teaching team.
• Promote students’ ASD, SLD, SEMH
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
• Oversee IEPs and targeted interventions.
• Work collaboratively with therapists, social workers, and external professionals.
• Monitor and improve teaching quality and student progress.

Requirements:

• Experience working with ASD, SLD and SEMH students in education.
• Proven leadership and team support skills.
• Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, curriculum planning, and behaviour management.
• Excellent communication with staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Enhanced DBS (Child or Child & Adult Workforce) on the update service.
