Job Title: Male Support Worker – 16+ SEN College

Location: 16+ SEN College, South London
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm
Pay: 90-110 GBP per day
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and motivated Support Worker to join our team at a 16+ SEN College in South London. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them achieve their academic and personal goals in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of SEN needs, both in and outside the classroom.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities as required.
  • Support students in building independence and confidence through tailored activities and interventions.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for each student.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of students’ progress and report to the team as necessary.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff, promoting inclusion and a sense of community.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally in a college or school setting.
  • A caring and patient nature, with the ability to build rapport with young adults.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and supporting students with varying needs.
  • A positive attitude towards inclusive education and personal development.
  • DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
  • A Level 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or equivalent, is desirable.
