Sports Coach – September Start

Location – Manchester (M15)

Start Date – 09/09/2026

Contract Type – Temp to Perm

Pay – £100-£110 per day, dependant on experience and responsibilities

Are you an experienced and motivated sports coach looking to secure a role for September? We are currently working with a large SEMH provision in the Manchester area to recruit a Sports Coach to join their team.

The school supports pupils aged between 11-18, with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, offering a nurturing, trauma-informed approach.

As a Sports Coach, you will:

• Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, using sports sessions to encourage re-engagement
• Maintain regular communication with other staff members to monitor progress
• Build strong rapport with students and staff

What we are looking for:

• A genuine passion for sports and supporting young people with SEMH needs
• Previous experience in coaching or youth mentor roles is highly desired
• Level 2 Team Teach training is highly desired but training can be provided
• Up to date safeguarding training is desired but training can be provided

To be eligible you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
