SEN Tutor

Job Title: SEN Tutor
Location: Islington, London
Contract Type: Temporary, Flexible, Part-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £25-30 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored one-to-one or small group tuition to SEN students, focusing on Functional Skills in Maths and English.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support students with diverse learning needs, ensuring lessons are accessible and engaging.
• Develop and implement individualised learning plans based on student abilities and goals.
• Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Work collaboratively with families and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with SEN students.
• Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths and/or English.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• SEN qualification (e.g., SENCO, Level 3 SEN certification).
• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
