SEN Tutor

Job Title: SEN Tutor
Location: Havering, London
Contract Type: Temporary, Flexible, Part-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: Starting from £25-£30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one tuition for SEN students, focusing on functional skills in Maths and/or English as well as core subject instruction in Maths and English.
* Develop and implement personalised lesson plans designed to address individual learning gaps and foster academic progress.
* Monitor student progress and offer regular, constructive feedback to both students and parents/guardians.
* Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s educational journey.

Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of experience working one-to-one with children with special needs.
* Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in functional skills (Maths or English) and core subjects (Maths and/or English).
* Right to work in the UK.
* Must have, or be willing to undertake, an enhanced DBS check.

Desired Qualifications:
* SEN qualification is highly desirable.
* PGCE in a core subject (Maths or English) and/or QTS is preferred.
