SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield

The Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Sheffield. This role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
You may be supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning
Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Help to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
Monitor progress and contribute to pupil development plans

The Ideal Candidate

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or care setting)
Patient, empathetic, and resilient
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Relevant qualifications or training are desirable but not essential
