SEN Teaching Assistant – Bury st Edmunds

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Teaching assistant for an Ofsted “Good” secondary school in Bury st Edmunds. This will be working on a one to one basis with a child with SEN.

The school is a popular mainstream secondary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD training to all staff.

The school are looking for someone who has experience working within SEN, and experience working with Autism is desirable.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location – Bury st Edmunds
• Position – 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a secondary school
• Type of work – Teaching Assistant children with SEN
• Contract or position start date – ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration – ongoing long term supply
• Contract or position end date (if applicable) – December 2022 with the potential for extension
• Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temporary
• Full time/part time – Full time
• Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £75 per day
• Hours – 8:30 am – 4pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 6 months experience working with children in a similar role
• Experience working within SEN is essential
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
