About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in M16, Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous SEN experience who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs, helping them to engage with learning and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Work one-to-one or in small groups with students who have SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials and activities to suit individual student needs.
Use positive behaviour management strategies to support students’ emotional regulation and engagement.
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and provide feedback on progress to teachers and parents.
Help create a nurturing and structured learning environment where all students can thrive.
Provide personal care support, if required.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or specialist setting (essential).
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff and parents.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children.
