Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in South Manchester. This role is perfect for a passionate and patient TA who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
Role Details:
Location: South Manchester
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of work: Full-time, supporting pupils with SEN
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Contract type: Long-term temp
Working hours: 8:30 AM 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: GBP95+ per day
Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties)
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students
Requirements:
Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting
Skills: Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs
Safeguarding: Up-to-date safeguarding training is desirable (training can be provided)
Compliance: Must have the right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
References: Two professional, child-related references required
