SEN Specialist Tutor

Job Title: SEN Specialist Tutor
Location: Harrow, London
Contract Type: Temporary, Flexible, Part-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £25-30 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, personalised tuition in functional skills Maths and English tailored to SEN students.
• Develop and implement individualised lesson plans that address each student’s specific learning needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular, constructive feedback to learners and their families.
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of learning styles, ensuring lessons are engaging, inclusive, and effective.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to support a comprehensive, holistic approach to each student’s development.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in functional skills Maths and English.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with SEN students.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• PGCE in a core subject (Maths or English) and/or QTS is highly desirable.
• SENCO experience is a strong advantage.
