Join us at Prospero Teaching as a SEND Specialist Tutor and make a real difference in students’ lives! You’ll deliver dynamic, one-to-one lessons tailored to meet the needs of learners with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and sensory challenges. Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored, multi-sensory lessons across various subjects
  • Track progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to create effective learning plans
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that promotes growth and independence

This role is ideal for someone who wants to step beyond the traditional classroom and make a real difference in the lives of disengaged, at-risk, or vulnerable learners. You’ll plan and deliver personalised one-to-one lessons that inspire progress and boost confidence.

  • Location – St Helens
  • Position – SEND Specialist Tutor
  • Type of work – Contract
  • Start date – ASAP
  • End date – Ongoing
  • Contract type – Temporary
  • Full time/part time – Part time and full time depending on availability
  • Hourly rate: up to £30.00p/h
  • Hours – Flexible working hours available

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Have experience working with SEND students
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
