Secondary Teaching Assistant

We are specifically working with a number of secondary schools who are looking to secure the services of an outstanding Teaching Assistant, for, day to day, short term and long-term positions to join their school/SEN teams. This particular role is to support the needs of students within the general mainstream school setting, with SEN, who may display low-level challenging behaviours and can become disengaged from learning quite quickly or 1:1 support in and outside of the classroom. You must be comfortable with managing behaviour, have knowledge of the curriculum and EBD/SEMH. To be successful in this role, it is essential you are calm, resilient, and overall, have a good sense of humour to build positive relationships that contribute to a conducive learning environment.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location – Warrington
  • Position – Secondary Teaching Assistant
  • Type of work – Teaching Support
  • Start date – As soon as possible
  • Contract type – Temporary
  • Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay – £70 per day
  • Hours – 8:30 am – 3.30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree educated with a good classification
  • Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference)
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
