Are you a Science Teacher looking for a new opportunity in Southampton this September?

We work closely with a number of secondary schools across Southampton who are already planning for September starts. Schools regularly approach us looking for strong Science specialists, and we’re confident we can match you with a role that suits your experience, subject specialism, and career goals.

The Role:

Depending on the school and your background, responsibilities may include:

  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities available)
  • Delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science
  • Planning, marking, assessment, and tracking pupil progress
  • Supporting pupils of mixed abilities to achieve strong outcomes
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and engagement
  • Contributing positively to departmental and whole‑school development

Who We’re Keen to Hear From:

  • Qualified Science Teachers with QTS/QTLS (essential)
  • ECTs seeking their first or next permanent role
  • Experienced teachers looking for progression, stability, or a fresh environment
  • Teachers relocating to or within the Southampton area
  • Science specialists confident delivering GCSE Science (any exam board)

You don’t need to have formally resigned – this is about planning ahead and finding the right opportunity for September.

Contract Details:

  • Position: Science Teacher (QTS)
  • Location: Southampton
  • Start Date: September (new academic year)
  • Contract Type: Full‑time, long‑term or permanent
  • Salary: £32,916 – £51,047 per annum (M1-U3, paid to scale)

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:

  • QTS/QTLS required
  • Secondary Science teaching experience preferred
  • Safeguarding training required (can be provided)

Eligibility:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two recent teaching references
