Secondary Science Teacher

Prospero Teaching, one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, is looking for a dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic Secondary School Science Teacher to join a school in the Liverpool area. If you have a passion for teaching and a speciality in either Physics, Biology, or Chemistry, we want to hear from you!

Position Details:

  • Location: Liverpool, L12
  • Type of Work: Long Term
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Rate of Pay: Paid to scale
  • Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning and Instruction: Crafting engaging and informative lesson plans that cover the required curriculum, utilising various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
  • Assessment and Grading: Creating and grading exams, quizzes, assignments, and lab reports to evaluate student progress and understanding.
  • Classroom Management: Maintaining an orderly and productive classroom environment, addressing any behavioural issues, and fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Student Support: Providing additional help to students struggling with the material and guiding those with a keen interest in science.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

  • Teaching Qualification: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a UK secondary school is essential.
  • Safeguarding Training: Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable, but not essential as training is provided).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child Barred List DBS Certificate: Must be registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Professional References: Provide two professional references.
