SCERTS Teacher (ASC Teacher)

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for an experienced SCERTS Teacher for a long term supply vacancy based at a secondary SEND school in Wakefield.

SOCIAL, COMMUNCIATION, EMOTIONAL REGULATION and TRANSACTIONAL SUPPORT

The SCERTS Model is a research-based educational approach and multidisciplinary framework that directly addresses the core challenges faced by children and persons with ASD and related disabilities, and their families. SCERTS focuses on building competence in Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support as the highest priorities that must be addressed in any program, and is applicable for individuals with a wide range of abilities and ages across home, school and community settings
Job Role:
To teach secondary aged students who have a diagnosis of Autism and associated communication, learning and behavioural needs, following the SCERTS pathway model.

Location: Wakefield
Position: SEND Teacher
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing with opportunity to apply for permanent contract
Contract type: Temp – perm
Full time/part-time: Full Time – Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: GBP140 – GBP200 per day, dependent upon experience and pay scale
Hours – 8:30am – 3:30pm

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional related references
