As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them access learning and develop key social and emotional skills. You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff, applying your academic knowledge in a practical, rewarding setting.
Provide classroom support to pupils across the curriculum.
Offer one-to-one and small group support, particularly for pupils with additional needs.
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
Assist with implementing behaviour and support strategies.
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
Follow safeguarding and inclusion policies at all times.
Degree in Psychology or a related field.
Strong interest in child development, SEN, or mental health.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
