A high-performing and ambitious School located in Merton, South West London, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Psychology Teacher to join its thriving Social Sciences department from September 2025. This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent role offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and dynamic team.
the Role:
Full-time Psychology Teacher starting September 2025

Teaching A-Level Psychology and A-Level Sociology (AQA specification)

Fully responsible for planning, teaching, and assessment

Joining a well-established Social Sciences department

Opportunity for the role to become permanent based on performance

Interviews taking place ASAP

Ideal Candidate:
Holds a BA in Psychology and PGCE/QTS

Experienced in teaching A-Level Psychology (AQA), with confidence to also teach A-Level Sociology

Engaging, creative, and passionate about teaching and learning

A strong team player who contributes to a collaborative ethos

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

Available for a September 2025 start

Requirements:
UK-recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS)

Degree in Psychology or a related field

Strong academic record (including GCSEs)

Recent UK teaching experience at KS5

Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service (or willing to obtain)

Right to work in the UK

Two references from the last two years of teaching

Salary:
Paid to scale MPS or UPS, depending on experience
