Primary Teacher

Prospero Teaching are seeking a committed Full-Time Primary Teacher to join a supportive Alternative Provision setting in Wickford, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for a resilient and passionate teacher who is confident supporting students with behavioural needs in a smaller class environment.

The school provides a nurturing, structured setting for pupils who have been removed from mainstream education. They are looking for a teacher who can build strong relationships, manage challenging behaviour effectively, and create engaging learning experiences that help students re-engage with their education.

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location – Wickford
• Position – Full-Time Primary Teacher
• Type of work – Class teaching with behavioural support
• Start date – Immediately
• Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing / Long-term
• Full time/part-time – Full time
• Minimum rate of pay – Minimum £110 per day – Depending on experience
• Hours – 8:00 am – 15:30 pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

• Experience working with behavioural needs or in an Alternative Provision (desirable)

• Recent experience in a UK primary school or similar setting

• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK

• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application

• Provide two professional child-related references
