Prospero Teaching are seeking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual to join our client Primary Schools admin team in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Headteacher and other office staff, leading key aspects of administration.

Although previous experience is desirable, it is not essential. The school provide on-the-job training and support, ensuring you feel confident and equipped for the role. What matters most is finding the right person-someone who is warm, welcoming, positive, a quick learner with an eye for detail, and who possesses fantastic organisational skills.

We are looking for someone who possesses:

  • Good maths and English skills (GCSE Grade C or equivalent)

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in using IT applications (e.g., spreadsheets, databases)

  • A sense of humour and positive approach

  • Patience, flexibility, and initiative

  • The ability to build strong relationships with team members, parents, and governors

  • A reflective mindset and a commitment to professional development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting front-of-house administration, including answering phones, hospitality, first aid, and correspondence

  • Processing payments linked to school dinners, lettings, and other financial matters

  • Leading curriculum enrichment administration, such as organising school clubs and trips

  • Maintaining the school’s social media presence and website

  • Hold right to work in the UK
