About the Part-Time 1:1 Teacher position:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a qualified teacher to work 1:1 with a student based in the Barking and Dagenham area.

• We are looking for an experienced Tutor to work on a 1:1 basis with students who are currently disengaged in education.
• This can include children in care, children who have been excluded from school and children with special needs difficulties.
• This is a part time role where the successful candidate will be required to work with the student for 3 hours per day for 5 days per week (Mon-Fri).
• You will be teaching the student in their own home or a community venue.
• The successful candidate will be expected to deliver sessions with a focus on English and Maths.
• We get students from ages 3-19 years old.
• If the successful candidate is looking for full time hours there is the potential to take on a second student.
• The position is to start ASAP.

Contract Details for Part-Time 1:1 Teacher position:

• Location – Barking and Dagenham
• Position – Part Time 1:1 Teacher
• Type of work – Teaching an excluded student in their own home.
• Start date – ASAP
• Contract type – Temporary – likely to be long term
• Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing until the student can return to school.
• Full time/part time – Part-time Monday to Friday – 3 hours per day
• Minimum rate of pay – £25 per hour

Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the Part-Time 1:1 teacher position:

• QTS or QTLS is preferred but as long as you have experience planning and delivering lessons you will be considered.
• Experience working with Students with Autism.
• Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
• A positive attitude and desire towards working with SEN students.
• The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun.

To be eligible for the Part-Time 1:1 Teacher position through Prospero Teaching you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
