Nursery Teacher

Prospero Teaching are seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join a fantastic, warm and nurturing local nursery. The ideal candidate will have Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.

As a Nursery Teacher, you will:

• • • • Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities.
      • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
      • Monitor and assess childrens’ progress, providing feedback to parents and carers.
      • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the nursery curriculum.
      • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

About you:

• • • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
    • Previous experience working in an EYFS setting.
    • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Passionate about working with children and supporting their development.

• Location – Southampton

  Duration – Permanent/ Temporary- Permanent

  Full time/part-time – Full-Time ideally, but this may be altered for the right candidate.
  Hours – Variable

  Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:

• • • Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) is essential.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
    • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the development of young children.
    • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.

• To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references upon request
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
