Would you like to gain first-hand experience in a specialist education setting in order to access fields such as Psychology, Therapy or Social Work in future?

Do you already have a background in SEN Support, Youth Work, Care or similar?

A well-regarded specialist school in Salford is looking to appoint a committed Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to support pupils with a variety of additional learning needs including ASD, SEMH needs, and communication difficulties.

The Role – Learning Support Assistant (SEN)

As a Learning Support Assistant (SEN), you will play a key role in helping pupils access education and develop essential life skills. You will support learning in a range of ways including 1:1 support, small group interventions, and classroom assistance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils academically and emotionally
  • Helping implement individual support plans and strategies
  • Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons
  • Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
