Prospero Teaching are currently work with an SEN School for pupils aged 4-19 with complex learning needs. The School set high but realistic expectations for students and encourage everyone to discover the joy of learning so that they may thrive, gain independence and be given every opportunity to achieve their full potential to be as independent as possible in their adult life.

We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic and conscientious learning support assistants who are looking to join a fantastic team.

We are looking for someone who:
· is committed to bringing creativity and energy into the classroom
· has the ability to challenge, motivate and inspire young learners
· is able to demonstrate they can work under pressure and prioritise effectively
· is committed to safeguarding and equality
· is persevering, patient and has a good sense of humour
· willing to work flexibly as the needs and demands of the school fluctuate
· have a nurturing nature which will support and develop the wellbeing of all students
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team and form positive relationships with students, parents and carers, colleagues and the wider community

Contract Details

• Location – Bordon, Hampshire
• Position – Learning Support Assistant
• Type of work – Key Stage 1 – 5 Support
• Contract or position start date – ASAP
• Contract or position end date (if applicable) – Ongoing
• Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temp to Perm
• Full time/part time – Full time
• Minimum rate of pay – £13.09 per hour
• Hours – Monday 9:00-4:30, Tuesday to Friday 9:00-3:30

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with SEND and complex learning needs
• Previous sports coach or have sports coaching experience
• Be a charismatic and confident leader who will lead in front of children and adults
• Be physically fit as you will be leading daily based physical activities for all classes – for pupils aged 4 to 19 years
• Excellent verbal communication skills and experience in PECS and Makaton.

Eligibility

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
