Job description

KS3/4 Religious Education Specialist – ASAP / April 2025 start

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Religious Education teacher for an Ofsted Good Secondary school in Bolton. You will be responsible for teaching Religious Education to KS4 groups (including Year 11), and lower school “general” Humanities.

This timetable would be suitable for an ECT looking for support with their Induction terms, or a more experienced colleague looking for a long term supply booking.

Our school is easily accessible by road (M60, M61, A666), so this position is ideal for colleagues based in Greater Manchester, Lancashire or even Merseyside. There are strong public transport links too via local train and bus servies. We have worked closely with this school since 2010 and they provide a genuinely caring environment for staff and students alike.

We have several long-term colleagues in the school who feel supported and welcomed. There is a dedicated pastoral support system in place including “on call”, an internal inclusion/reflections room, and a Deputy Headteacher who’s sole focus is dealing with behavioural issues swiftly and fairly.

The position is open to NQT’s/ECT’s and more experienced colleagues. You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss this role with teaching professionals as soon as possible.
