KS1 Primary Teacher – Southsea

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Primary Teacher for a client school in Southsea. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school environment and inspire young learners during their formative years.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the KS1 curriculum.

  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and creativity.

  • Assess student progress, offering constructive feedback to pupils and parents.

  • Implement individualised learning strategies to support diverse learning needs.

  • Use a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles.

  • Keep detailed records of attendance, achievements, and other essential documentation.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the school leadership team to promote student success.

  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

  • Organise and oversee school trips, extracurricular activities, and special events.

Contract Details:

  • Location: Southsea

  • Position: KS1 Primary Teacher

  • Contract Type: Long Term

  • Hours: Full-time (8:00 am – 4:00 pm, including parent evenings)

  • Pay Rate: Minimum £162.31 per day (Paid to scale)

Candidate Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the UK.

  • Enhanced DBS check registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Provide two recent professional references relating to child-related roles.
