Prospero Teaching is looking for a compassionate and experienced KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in South Manchester. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for someone with prior experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in KS1.

The school is committed to providing tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide one-to-one and small-group support to help children thrive in their learning environment.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications
Required:

Prior experience working with SEN children in KS1
Knowledge of SEN strategies to support children with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or other additional needs
A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with young children
Ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
Preferred but not essential:

Relevant training or qualifications in SEN support
Recent safeguarding training (can be provided if needed)

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

Have prior experience working with SEN children in KS1
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered on the online update service
Have the Right to Work in the UK
Provide two professional child-related references
