About the role:

As Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) / Diploma Centre Manager working for our client, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything they do.

Based at our Corporate Hub at one of their campus’ in the Derbyshire area, the role will focus on the Centre Management of the in-house Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and Level 4 apprenticeships Children, young people & families practitioner (residential) for care staff.

You will also hold responsibility for managing the centre IQA processes and systems in addition to IQA and Assessor duties. You will line manage our team of Assessors, and may be called to support with the setting up of new children’s care homes and induction of new care staff.

Experience in delivering training (e.g. ligature, anti-bullying, child protection) would be advantageous

You will:

  • Be or have been recently employed in a similar role
  • Be occupationally qualified to Level 3 in Residential Childcare (and ideally level 5 Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare)
  • Be a qualified assessor (A1, D32, D33) and/or internal verifier.
  • Have gained experience working in a supervisory/management role in residential childcare.
  • Have a valid driving licence and use of a reliable car to be able to visit settings across your remit

Our schools and homes support children and young people living with social, emotional and mental health problems (SEMH) and specific learning difficulties, which affects their learning and ability to do everyday things.
