Prospero Teaching is pleased to support our client Infant School in Portsmouth in their search for a passionate and dedicated Infant School Teacher. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire young learners and shape their early educational experiences in a supportive and engaging environment.

About the Role:

As an Infant School Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver creative and stimulating lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

  • Establish a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes children’s social, emotional, and academic growth.

  • Adapt teaching approaches to cater to individual learning needs, ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to succeed.

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to aid their development.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support the best possible outcomes for students.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and a love for learning, fostering a sense of curiosity and confidence in young learners.

Position Details:

  • Location: Portsmouth

  • Role: Infant School Teacher

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Contract Type: Permanent

  • Hours: Full-time (08:00 AM – 16:00 PM, subject to variation)

  • Salary: Starting from £162.31 per day

Qualifications & Requirements:

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

  • A relevant degree or higher qualification

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (registered with the online update service or willingness to apply)

  • References available upon request

  • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (or willingness to complete training)
