History Teacher – Warrington

Prospero Teaching are working with a large secondary school in Warrington who are seeking a History Teacher from Easter half term 2023, on a supply basis. The role is full time and you will plan, prepare and deliver lessons that are engaging & that will stretch the classes in key stage 3 & 4.

You will be required to become fully emerged in school, attending departmental meetings, parents’ evenings etc and posses strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with students and build a rapport quickly.

General Information:

• Location: Warrington
• Position: History teacher
• Start date: Easter half term 2023 on wards
• Minimum rate of pay: in line with your main pay scale
• Hours: 8:15 am-4:00 pm (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Teacher of History at key stage 3/4 or 5
• Hold a valid & recognised teaching qualification
• Recent safeguarding training within the last 12 months
• Recent prevent training within the last 12 months

You will need to have taught in secondary schools either in a permanent or supply basis , the role is open to ECT’s and more experienced teachers. You will be required to commit to the role in it’s entirety.

• Possess an enhanced child barred list. DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide a minimum of two professional child related references covering the last 2 years
