History teacher – Salford – February start

Prospero Teaching are working with a large secondary school in Salford who are seeking a History Teacher to work in their humanities department on a full time basis. The role is to start after February half term until Easter. The role will be a full time role and will be asked to teach history to various classes in key stage 3 & 4.

The department is an established team who are very welcoming to new staff that join them and are very supportive and approachable. .

There is a large on site car park available for staff and there are excellent public transport links close by.

General Information:

Location: Salford

Position: History teacher

Start date: February 2025

End date: Easter 2025

Minimum rate of pay: GBP162.31

Hours: 8:15 am-4:00 pm (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified Teacher of History (hold QTS)

Up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum

Teacher of History at key stage 3 & 4

Hold a valid & recognised teaching qualification

You will need to have taught in secondary schools either in a permanent or supply basis , the role is open to ECT’s and more experienced teachers.

You will be required to commit to the role in it’s entirety.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS HISTORY POSITION

hold Right to Work in the UK.

Possess an enhanced child barred list. DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.

Provide a minimum of two professional child related references covering the last 2 years

Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year ( essential, training can be provided)

Up to date prevent awareness training in the last 3 years ( essential, however, training can be provided)
