We are looking for a Headteachers’ PA to join a large Secondary School in Oldham.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
· Location Manchester
· Position Heads PA / Pastoral Administrator
· Type of work Long term school administration
· Start date October 2026
· Duration / Likely Duration December 2026, potentially extended
· End date (if applicable) December 2026
· Contract type – Temporary
· Full time/part time Full
· Minimum rate of pay – GBP148/day
· Hours 8:00am to 4:00pm

You will provide efficient and personal assistance to the Headteacher on a day-to-day basis; this may include organisation of the diary; preparation, checking and circulation of documents; liaising with colleagues as appropriate on behalf of the Headteacher.

You will need to act as Personal Assistant to the Headteacher overseeing matters of a confidential nature
Assist in the maintenance of computerised school records and updating student information as required.
Compilation of reports for internal reviews, when required.

You will be dealing with complex queries and complaints on the telephone, by email and in person
To be responsible for taking minutes at meetings as required by the Headteacher.

You would also welcome, look after and provide hospitality for the Headteachers visitors.

And some operational duties :

Calendar and Trips Management
Ensure the electronic calendar is up to date at all times and includes the following:

  • CPL.
  • All trips.
  • Visitors to the college which includes; immunisations, HMI etc.
  • Evening events.

GDPR management

  • Work with the Data Protection Officer to ensure that the school has robust and rigorous systems in place for ensuring that student and staff data is correct and up to date in Arbor.
  • Promote an environment in the school that ensures the safety of personal information and data.
  • Ensure that data changes are updated accurately, timely and removed when no longer required.
  • Ensure any data breaches are reported the to the Data Protection Officer.
  • Attend annual GDPR training.
  • Oversee all subject access and FOI requests

Compliance

  • Track all school policies/procedures to ensure they are updated in accordance with the review schedule and communicate to staff. Ensure the policies on the website are up to date at all times.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
