HEAD OF BIOLOGY TEACHER

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Head of Biology to join an Ofsted Good, all boys secondary school. The school is based in Chiswick.
This Head of Biology teaching position starts in Febuary 2025 and is a full-time teaching position. The school is well equipped with multiple modern science labs. You need to be able to teach all key stages including GCSE and A Level.
THE HEAD OF BIOLOGY POSITION:
· Full-time Head of Biology
· Ideally starting Febuary 2025
· Teach all key stages including GCSE and A Level
· This is a mainstream, Ofsted Good secondary school
· The Biology and Science department is well resourced
· Full time (5 days a week) position including
· Parking is available on site and the school is well served by public transport
ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL HEAD OF BIOLOGY WILL BE:
· Qualified Biology or Science technology teacher – UK or Overseas Biology or Science Teacher
· Ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS preferred) or equivalent.
· Someone who can manage students of different abilities and differentiate lessons in line with the needs of the students
· You will be proactive and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways.
· Be a team player
CONTRACT DETAILS FOR THE HEAD OF BIOLOGY TEACHER POSITION:
· Location – Chiswick
· Start date – Feb 2025
· Contract type – temporary with a view to becoming permanent after 12 weeks
· Duration / Likely Duration – FEB 2025
· Full time/part time – Full time 5 days
· Minimum rate of pay – Outer Pay Scale
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE HEAD OF BIOLOGY TEACHER MUST HAVE / BE:

· The ability to engage and motivate students and staff
· Excellent communication skills – the school encourages good communication with parents / carers
