Job description

Head of Behaviour Support – Salford – ASAP

TEMP TO PERM POSITION

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Head of Behaviour for one of our schools in Salford. This role is to run and manage the behaviour/inclusion provision in the school. Students in your care can pose challenges but staff who are calm, patient, resilient and caring will make huge differences in this setting. This is a new role in the school and as such, it is an exciting for someone to create an effective, efficient provision which will really make a positive impact to those disengaged learners you will meet.

This role is much more “all encompassing” and you will provide some academic support, some 1:1 mentoring, and some “crisis intervention” to support students who need intervention. You must be resilient and persistant, and be willing to go the extra mile to engage the young people who are in and out of the unit. You will have some management experience in a similar setting, or, be an experienced Behaviour Officer looking for a management post.

Standards are high and the young people in the school are supported from day one with a uniform approach by teachers and support staff, and a calm, positive environment is noticed from the moment you enter the school. Our client enjoys a strong reputation inside the SEMH domain and is proud of the standards they set.
