About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Secondary Geography Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Liverpool area. Secondary Geography Teacher

Location: L31

Start Date: 22nd April 2025

Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term

Working Hours: Full-time, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Pay: Paid to scale

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Deliver Lessons: Create engaging and comprehensive lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to various learning styles.
  • Assessment: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding.
  • Encourage Participation: Promote active engagement and participation among students.
  • Curriculum Planning: Develop and update geography curricula to meet educational standards and student needs.
  • Resource Management: Select and utilize appropriate textbooks, resources, and materials.
  • Mentoring: Act as a mentor and role model, encouraging students’ academic and personal growth.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in geography education and teaching methodologies.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Ability to provide two professional references.
