A popular college located in North West London is interested in securing a Geography teacher starting January 2024!

The ideal Geography teacher will be qualified, have a degree related to Geography and a solid teaching background.

As a Geography teacher, you will be hard-working, a team player and be someone who engages with students and staff. The school is interested in appointing a Geography teacher to join a thriving and dynamic department in ASAP

This Geography teacher teaching post will be temporary to permanent and will become permanent dependant on performance/application starting ASAP

You will be teaching Geography following the Eduqas B specification.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND GEOGRAPHY TEACHER CONTRACT:

• Supportive team
• Department with a collaborative approach to planning, delivery, and assessment
• Supportive yet high energy atmosphere
• This is a full-time position including planning and marking
• During the Summer Term all Year 10 GCSE Geography students visit Dorset, to practise the skills and to collect the data required to support their Unit
• Interviewing ASAP

THE RIGHT GEOGRAPHY TEACHER WILL BE:

• Hold a BA and PGCE in Geography
• Confident with teaching GCSE Geography
• Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
• Available ASAP

THE SUCCESSFUL GEOGRAPHY TEACHER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
*Exceptional degree and GCSEs
*UK classroom teaching experience
*Eligibility to work in the UK
*Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
*A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service
*Salary paid to scale – teachers’ pay scale MPS or UPS1 dependant on experience
