Are you a passionate Maths teacher ready to make a real difference outside the traditional classroom?

Prospero Teaching is on the lookout for an exceptional Outreach Tutor to work 1:1 with students who are not currently attending school. These young people need more than just a tutor – they need a mentor, motivator, and a reliable guide back into learning.

This is your chance to deliver tailored, engaging Maths sessions that rebuild confidence, close learning gaps, and spark progress where it’s most needed.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location – Barking and Dagenham
  • Position – GCSE Maths Outreach Tutor
  • Type of work – Contract
  • Start date – ASAP
  • Duration / Likely Duration – dependent on each student
  • End date (if applicable) – N/A
  • Contract type – Temporary
  • Full time/part time – Part time and full time depending on availability
  • Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £25 per hour
  • Hours – Working hours can differentiate, minimum 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
  • 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
