Teacher of Food Technology – Oldham – ASAP start
A dedicated, qualified and passionate Food Technology Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Oldham, to join them teaching key stage 3 & 4 classes as soon as possible for the whole of the Autumn term, until they break for Christmas. after the Christmas break there could be the opportunity of the role becoming permanent.
The role is full time and you will be required to teach key stage 3 & 4 food technology and is open to ECTs as well as experienced teachers. It would be advantageous if you have experience teaching a second design & technology subject, however, this is not essential.
You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents’ evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. A key focus in the classroom is AfL which helps guide teaching, throughout the whole school.

Hours 8:30am 4pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Food Technology or connected subjects.
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B. Ed, QTS, etc) in Food Tech
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45.80.
Provide a minimum of two professional references.
