ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching are looking for an English Teacher for an Ofsted “Good” and “Outstanding” Secondary school in Enfield

The school is a medium size mainstream Secondary School with a supportive and dynamic English department. Composed of both very experienced, and newly qualified English teachers. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. The school does have a 6^th form, and the ideal candidate will be able to teach English to KS5, however the role is only up to KS4. The school has a bank of resources to support the successful candidate, and are open to onboarding ECT’s.

Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position. Ideally, the school is seeking someone confident in raising attainment, prioritising differentiation, and inquiry based learning.

They would require a paid lesson trial day, or potentially an interview.

• Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £160 per day (paid in line with your main payscale)
• Hours – 8:30 am – 4pm, plus parents evenings

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS or equivalent, ECTs welcome to apply
• Minimum 1 year ENGLISH teaching experience
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
