Prospero Teaching are working closely with a Good Ofsted rated Mixed secondary school located in Basingstoke, Hampshire, who are looking for an English Teacher to join them on a maternity contract.

The school have a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional and inspiring Teacher of English to join a well-established and high achieving department in a School where students are well behaved. Applications from experienced and Early Career Teachers are encouraged and a comprehensive ECT support package would be available if appropriate.

CONTRACT DETAILS
· Location – Basingstoke, Hampshire
· Position – Teacher of English
· Contract or position start date – September 2025
· Duration / Likely Duration – Permanent
· Full time/part time – Full time
· Minimum rate of pay – Paid to scale
· Hours – 8:30 am – 3.30pm, plus parents evenings and department meetings.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
· QTS or equivalent
· Minimum 1 year English teaching experience in the UK
· Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
· Hold Right to Work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
