English Teacher

English Teacher – Bury – Full time – January

Prospero Teaching are seeking a qualified, passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to work at a popular secondary school in Bury to join them from after the Christmas break on a full time basis for the rest of the academic year until July 2025.

This role is a full time position and is open to ECTs as well as more experienced teachers of English.

The successful candidate will need to immediately fully immerse themselves in the school and department and assist in planing and preparing lessons, attend departmental meetings & parents evenings when necessary. You will also need to be able to provide exceptional support to students, demonstrate good behaviour and classroom assistance/management.

Minimum rate of pay GBP162.31 per day

Hours 8:15AM 4:00PM

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent Previous experience working in a UK school

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided)

Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)

English Teaching experience in the UK required

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one

Provide two professional references
