Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a tutor to provide support with English and Math tuition for children and young people.

About the role:

We are currently providing support to students in the Greenwich area. We are looking specifically tutors to support with Maths and English studies. We require someone with some general SEN knowledge with experience supporting similar needs and managing behaviour.

Support can take place at the student’s home in Greenwich, a local library or school. Support is required 4-10 hours each week which will take place in 2-hour time slots from Monday through to Friday during school hours (8am – 4pm).

This role would be best suited to individuals from a Special Educational Needs background, for example Support Workers, Carers, SEN Teaching Assistants, SEN mentors or Tutors with extensive experience.

ROLE DETAILS:

Hours per week – 4 to 10 hours

Timetable – 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday (during school hours, 8AM – 4PM)

Duration of booking – ongoing

Location – Greenwich

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the Tutor:

• Teaching, tutoring, or learning support experience as a minimum
• General knowledge working with individuals with a variety of SEND
• Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box
• Have experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils

To be eligible for this role, the potential SEND Specialist Tutor must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references.
• QTS not essential but preferred or considerable relevant experience
