Cover Supervisor – Bury

We are working in partnership with secondary schools in the Bury LA, and we are looking to secure the services of an outstanding graduate who can operate as a COVER SUPERVISOR, on a long-term supply basis. There are full-time and part-time roles available. Along with this role, there are other opportunities for shorter-term agreements with the schools, pre-booked, to cover “pinch points” during their calendar. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build experience in the education sector, before applying for Teacher Training.

The role of the Cover Supervisor is invaluable, and your main responsibilities will be to provide short-term cover for absent members of teaching staff. This could be across any subject in Secondary Schools – but don’t worry, you don’t need to be an expert in every subject! All the work will be set, and you will be responsible for maintaining discipline and behaviour standards, whilst providing clear instruction and guidance to the pupils.

All supply staff are encouraged to join in the lively, welcoming extra curricular calendar our school has. Whether it is staff sports, the evening “boot camp” for staff, music, performance, chess, you name it – whilst things are done a little differently at the moment, the pupils of our school are still made to feel extremely welcomed, and are encouraged to partake in as much extra curricular as possible.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS:

• Location – Bury, Greater Manchester
• Position – Cover Supervisor
• Start date – ASAP
• Likely Duration – July 2022
• Contract type – long term
• Full time/part time -Full & part time
• Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate is £70 per day
• Hours – 8:30 am – 4pm (full day)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold a degree at a good classification
• Have some experience of working with children/young people (which we can reference)
• Be available immediately

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80
• Provide two professional references
