Prospero Teaching is working with a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated Secondary School looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, youll step into the classroom to ensure lessons run smoothly in the absence of the regular teacher. Youll deliver pre-prepared work, keep students engaged, and maintain a positive learning environment across a variety of subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes and deliver set work during teacher absence.
• Maintain a calm, focused atmosphere and manage behaviour effectively.
• Support students with their tasks and answer questions where possible.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student conduct.
• Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive learning culture.

Contract Details:

• Location: Ringwood, Hampshire
• Position: Cover Supervisor
• Type of Work: Classroom Supervision
• Start Date: Immediate
• Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
• Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
• Pay: From £103 per day

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (or willingness to apply).
• Two professional child-related references.
• GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• A degree is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
