Location: Rainham, East London
Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | Flexible Hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 behavioural and emotional support alongside basic academic tuition (e.g English or Maths)
  • Use relationship-building and mentoring techniques to engage students with behavioural difficulties.
  • Create a safe, consistent and supportive space where students feel heard and motivated.
  • Support learners in developing key social, emotional and academic skills.
  • Track progress and communicate regularly with parents, carers, or support professionals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges and SEN.
  • Background in mentoring, youth work, support work, or similar roles.
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Have or be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check

Desired Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualifications such as PGCE or QTS
  • Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of de-escalation strategies, SEMH needs, or trauma-informed approaches.
